To find the top spa experience around the world, I went straight to travel bloggers. Each one of these reviews was written after spending time at the spa the writer chose.
It's not easy to choose a favorite when you've traveled all over the world! Each writer chose just one to be included on this list.
We're featuring spas all around the world, from Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, to St. Moritz in the Swiss Alps. You'll only find one spa in the United States on the list, but scroll down to the bottom for a few of my favorite spas in Florida.
Whether you're traveling with your significant other or with a group of best friends, you'll find a luxurious spa here that works for your trip.
The writers considered many different body treatments, from deep tissue massage to body wraps, body scrubs, as well as the tranquil environments of the treatment rooms.

Willow Stream Spa in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Willow Stream Spa has a huge variety of packages, luxurious treatments, and offerings to suit every guest. The relaxation room is heavenly.
The spa is currently open from 9:30 am until 7 pm every day, during which you can book an appointment for anything from a manicure to a hot stone massage or even a full-body treatment. I've personally experienced this spa a couple of times and it's so luxurious.
Badrutt’s Palace Spa in St. Moritz, Switzerland
The best treat for your health is at Badrutt's Palace Spa on-site spa and pool area. Walk through a tunnel from the main building to discover an enchanted heated pool encased by glass, presenting unparalleled views of the nature scape outside.
You feel like you’re swimming in the middle of the Alps, no matter the season. The snow drifting down in the wintertime is surreal. After a relaxing swim, complete with the must-try jump off the granite diving rock, head to the spa.
Chateau Petrovice Spa and Wellness Center | Ostrava, Czech Republic
Looking for the ultimate spa and wellness retreat in a gorgeous setting? This will certainly happen for you when visiting the Chateau Petrovice Spa and Wellness Center in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
This extraordinary wellness retreat offers a diversity of wonderful and innovative spa experiences and can be described as a truly hidden gem in Europe.
Their goal is a significant rejuvenation that only comes with investing time in one’s self. You can feel relaxed, serene, and content – all while in an exquisite setting and sipping a glass of lovely champagne!
Yeatman Hotel and Wine Spa | Porto, Portugal
Porto, Portugal is famously known for its production of port wine. At the 5-star Yeatman Hotel and Wine Spa, you can not only taste the wine, you can bathe in it.
The wine spa at this Relais & Châteaux hotel specializes in vinotherapy treatments using products made from anti-aging wine grape extracts. You can even soak in a wine-spiked barrel bath while taking in the spectacular view of Porto.

Spa Land Busan is one of the best jimjilbang spas in South Korea. Located inside the world’s largest department store in Busan, the luxury spa presents a unique Korean bathing culture like no other.
The indoor and outdoor complex features 13 themed dry/wet saunas from the world. A clubhouse-like, gender-separated bath is perfect for soaking in mineral-rich thermal water.
While it is ok to unwind and do nothing, you can also watch movies on a comfortable recliner, take fitness classes, or get beauty treatments and massages at futuristic oxy spa.
Aire Ancient Baths and Spa Vallromanes | Barcelona, Spain
Nestled among the pine-scented forests of the Serralada Coastal Natural Park, the Aire Ancient Baths and Spa is a stellar luxury spa facility harboured within the ground of a 15th-century farm and is part of the five-star Mas Salagros Ecoresort.
Needless to stay, it makes for a truly idyllic escape from Barcelona –whether it be for a relaxing day-trip or a rejuvenation couple of nights away from it all.
Float your worries away in the salt baths, which flow both in and outdoors, indulge in invigorating body massages and health treatments, and be sure to linger as long as possible on the hotel’s sunstruck terrace for the Aire lunch/dinner menu.
Thermae Bath Spa | Bath, England
Bath, England, has been known for its healing waters for nearly 3000 years. Near the city’s ancient Roman baths, you’ll find Thermae Bath Spa, an oasis that channels the mineral-rich springs into a modern spa experience.
Inside Thermae Bath Spa, there is a series of hydrotherapy pools, aromatherapy steam rooms, and an array of traditional spa treatments. You can float for hours enjoying the different jets and whirlpools.
The most spectacular part of a spa experience in Bath comes upstairs—the rooftop pool is not only relaxing but offers views of gorgeous Bath Abbey, the city’s 900-year-old cathedral.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental | Macau, China
The best luxury spa in Macau has to be Forbes five star award-winning spa and treatment center, called The Spa at Hotel Mandarin Oriental in Macau. This spa is all that it claims to be and more.
Their treatment menu is extensive and customized and with a choice of rooms, some with an ensuite jacuzzi!
We selected the exotic-sounding Macanese Dragon Experience and we were not disappointed at all. The two hours had passed by as if in a jiffy and we felt as good as new when we came out.
Negombo | Ischia, Italy
The Negombo Thermal Spa is on the island of Ischia and uses the volcanic waters that have attracted visitors to the island for thousands of years.
There are 14 separate therapeutic pools, all set in lovely gardens by a sandy beach in a beautiful bay on Ischia’s north-west coast. The spa pools at Negombo range from a Japanese maze bath to a serene and romantic pool in a cave in the hillside.
Unlike some of Ischia’s other thermal spas, you can visit the pools at Negombo in any order you like, as well as indulge yourself with a treatment. Visiting the Negombo spa in Ischia is an easy day trip from Naples, Sorrento or Capri.
Rancho La Puerta | Tecate, Mexico
Just over the border from San Diego, Rancho La Puerta in Tecate welcomes guests from around the world for week-long stays with a Mediterranean breakfast buffet and an extensive list of luxury spa services and fitness classes.
This world-class destination spa, voted one of the best spas in the world by CNN Traveller, gets top marks from guests for its tranquil garden setting on 32 acres and cooking classes from world-renowned chefs.
Guests will also enjoy staying in a cozy casita, taking in the mountain views from any one of the multiple pools, and walking the labyrinth. Best of all, Rancho La Puerta offers a “day at the ranch” special for one day each month for budget-conscious San Diego day-trippers.
Duniye Spa at Hurawalhi Maldives | Lhaviyani Atoll, Maldives
Duniye Spa at Hurawalhi Island Resort is the definition of paradise on earth. This stunning spa is located on a small island in the Maldives with the entire spa built over the Indian Ocean in an overwater bungalow.
Duniye Spa was the recipient of the 2019 TripAdvisor World Luxury Spa Award and it’s easy to see why. Hurawalhi Island Resort and Duniye Spa are nothing but romance, seclusion, luxury, fun, and adventure.
The service is top-notch, the food is delicious, and the spa experiences are unforgettable. This adults-only paradise belongs on any bucket list.
Bella Reina Spa | Delray Beach, FL, USA
The only spa on the list in the United States, Bella Reina Spa has an amazingly friendly spa experience with everything from Hydra Facials to a Green Tea Pedicure.
For the pedicure, you soak in rich antioxidants that boost your skin’s immunity, detoxifies the feet and legs, and promotes overall health. The CND Shellac is the least harmful to the nails, hypo-allergenic, and “Free of Chemicals” – no formaldehyde, no toluene, and no DBP.
All the products used at Bella Reina are carefully chosen to be the best! With amazing service and friendly staff, this is the best spa experience in Delray Beach.
Rancho San Lucas Spa at Grand Solmar | Cabo, Mexico
I just came back from an AMAZING stay at The Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf and Spa in Los Cabos. Like the name implies, The Spa by the Ocean at Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas is just that – a spa right next to the ocean.
Their cabins resemble palapas but are enclosed all the way around. There are four cabins in total, with one set up as a dining area – because yes, a few of their treatments include a three-course lunch!
Hotel Botanico Oriental Spa Garden | Tenerife, Spain
Whether you’re looking for a break to switch off or focus on your health, Hotel Botanico’s Oriental Spa Garden is the place to go. Hotel Botanico has repeatedly won the best spa hotel in Europe accolade, awarded by Conde Nast, and it’s easy to see why.
The five-star atmosphere with impeccable service and Thai-style surroundings is difficult to compete with. The Slim and Wellness Program is especially recommended where it demonstrates that you can still eat like a king and lose weight. The establishment boasts a well-kitted gym, luxurious swimming pools, and an array of saunas.
More Spas in Florida
As Florida is my home, I thought I'd leave you with a couple of my favorites not far from where I live, near the Gulf of Mexico in Manatee County.
For one of my favorite spots to get pampered in Florida, check out Innisbrook Golf Resort. I visited with my daughter last year for a short getaway, and we had a wonderful time at the spa as well as exploring the area. There's a lot to do including a beautiful beach just minutes away.
The Salon and Spa at Bay Hill, located at Bay Hill Club and Lodge, is located in Orlando, Florida. Just minutes from the theme parks (consider a Disney VIP Tour) and Disney Springs, this area offers everything you could want in restaurants and shopping.
