3 COLORADO LOCATIONS AMONGST TOP BUCKET LIST LOCATIONS

(COLORADO) — A study found one of Colorado’s hidden gems made the Top Bucket List locations in America, along with a few other lesser-known adventures.

The survey uncovered 150 alternative bucket list destinations that showcase unique experiences families can enjoy.

Colorado had a few locations families opted for, including the Manitou Springs Penny Arcade. The attraction has games that date back to the 1930s, if not earlier, and the games cost the same price they did back then. The place is a nostalgic trip for adults and a new experience for kids, creating a fun and unique outing for families. The Penny Arcade landed on spot #14.

Top 10 places included:

  • Makapu’u Tide Pools, Hawaii.
  • Channel Islands National Park, California.
  • Hoh Rain Forest (Olympic National Park), Washington.
  • St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, Florida.
  • Manatee Springs Stafe Park, Florida.
  • Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Nevada.
  • Kaumana Caves, Hawaii.
  • Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas.
  • Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma.
  • Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

Two other Colorado locations also made the Top 150 destinations, including Paint Mines Interpretive Park and Dinosaur Ridge.

Paint Mines Park is located in El Paso County, and offers vibrant and unusual landscapes that provide a striking adventure through the hoodoos and badlands. Dinosaur Ridge near Morrison features dinosaur tracks and fossils. Families can stage guided tours to learn about the prehistoric creatures that once roamed the area.
